Mr Manly Dear Sir, will you please take out of my wages money [[?]] to get me twelve second readers, and send them to me; if you please, for the people are so very poor here that they are not able to pay right up for books for their children.  
Please keep the remainder of the money in the savings Bank. 
And you will oblige me very much.
