My Dear Sir: -

I have just rec'd your favor of the 21st in which you tender to our Board in aid of our Public Schools $100. per month from the 1st int forward.

Of course we consider it worth receiving and will thankfully accept it. But you will excuse me for saying in all candor that I really think you ought to allow us the $200. per month continuously. I feel sure that I can convince you that you money, you can spend will be doing more good or be more gratefully appreciated. We really need it. Our enterprise will be crippled without it.
