The 'Jones' you spoke of was a young Southerner, who, you said, had a school already established somewhere (I have  mislaid your letter)- near the N.C. line I think, but I cannot remember where.
We can pay $25.- salaries to fifteen or twenty country teachers.
Shall I send the female teachers down on the first of October, if Owens & Johnson do not return?
