Rev RM Manly
Dear Sir
We the Trustees of Providence School do write you a few lines informing you that the school closed on the 2d inst the teachers had an examination of the school which gave perfect satisfaction and the only dissatisfactions is we fear that we can't get our same teacher again but we will be thankful should Mr Simmons of New York send us another, we think he will, therefore we are going to work and prepare our house for the winter school. Will you please to write to us as soon as possible, and let us know when we shall receive the aid you promised us? We desire to get the house ready by the first of Nov. Please help us.
We are respectfully yours in the Lord, William H Taylor Chairman, X Hery Green, Sec Henry A Green John Lewis X Washington Venie X James Venie X and Leroy Mason X
