John came from his work just before dark, and saw it. Mr. Hind says his was taken last night. John and Mag. took oath today that it was there yesterday. (or rather Mag [[crossed out]] told [[/crossed out]] said Anderson Sold her. so, and it was then Twelve oclock.

Now Anderson is accused because he cannot tell the name of the man of whom he bought it.

John and Anderson with their wives have have always lived in the same house and own all the property together. They have taken 40 acres of land to cultivate on shares, last year raised corn, and this year decided to sow 25 bushels of wheat, had saved all their earnings to procure the seed, and this will cut them off.

Will you please do what you can for them? I am sorry to trouble you, but I believe for Christ's sake you will do what you can in the cause of suffering humanity.

Respectfully
E. James.
