Sin: Your letter signifying a willingness to assist us in repairing the school house at this place was duly received, and contents noted - I at once called on some of the most intelligent of the Colored people, and stated that you would pay fills for material used to extent of $75.- and that they must use funds to pay for labor.
We concluded to have a festival for that purpose, and raised sufficient funds to carry on the work, and to have it done in a proper manner.
I have endeavored to make arrangements for lumber, but it is necessary to inform the dealers, when they may expect payment &c., before we can close any bargain.
Please inform me -
