Through my Father W. W. Moulton I have been informed of your request, that I should write you how much assistance the Freedmen would require for the support of a school at Brandon.

I can say very little at present in relation to the school, as our place of residence is quite a distance from these, and have never had an opportunity of visiting the school while in session but I hope after a months stay there, I shall be able to comply more
