Rs Manley Esqr
Dear Sir. -
My hurried departure from Richmond, and the day rainy. I was not able to call on you to return thanks for the kind interest you took in me a stranger; for it is entirely through you that I obtained employment from Mr. Jones. I now beg you to accept my thanks.

I am getting on pretty well with the School here, and the people unhesitatingly admit that I am the best Teacher that has been sent to them. This is for others more competent to say. I promise I will do my best. I was never before.
