Peabody School, Mangohick Va Nov 18th 1869.
Mr Manly,
Dear Sir:
I am put under the painful necessity of troubling you again for money. I will have to board myself in future and have nothing to begin on so write to ask if you will be so kind as to let Mr. Abrams have $5 now and please send me the same amount for two months afterward. I have a letter from Mrs. Lowell in which she was pleased with the prospect of my school and said I must report both to you and her; I sent her my Report for Oct. It was the same as the one to you.
In a note, I reported to you by mistake 63 names; it was 58 instead. I counted names and wrote in hast, I hope you will pardon it.
