Two of the school are in good running order. At first they were much disorganized, & inclined to have their own way in every particular. I think the order & discipline of the schools has been much neglected & we hope to make some decided improvements in that department of our schools. 
One feature of the work in regard to the colored teachers in our city who imagine as soon as they can read & write a few words they are compatent teachers to hence gather about them a class from ten to twenty in number & call it a school. The result of all such schools only tend to lead the pupil into errors, which it takes a life time to correct,
