Dear Sir: 
I received your letter dated 15th inst. I am sorry that Col. Platte led me into the believe that you would pay the $15.00 per month for the school at Waverly Station; but hope you will see fit to pay that sum. The Post Office address of Teacher is Waverly Station, Sussex County Va. The School is about up a mile from the Station. The Freedmen own the building. It may be had free of rent as the rent always paid to the Teacher. The school used to number 56 regular scholars, but owing to the Pea picking it will be considerably less this winter, or for the next mo! Mr. Attwell, my son in law, will
