rent here; you know I had threaten'd to close the house on Nov. 1st if the back rent was not paid at that time. Well, I closed the house and they came here on Wednesday Nov. 3rd to hold a meeting. I had quite a stormy time. They threatened to tear the house down. I told them the house belonged to the Bureau, and I rather thought they would get into trouble if they tore it down. The shade of the Bureau terrified them. They went quietly to their homes; and on Saturday Nov 16th they paid up the back rent.

The Boston Society has authorized me to use the money which they pay as tuition to help pay for a piece of land on which to build a school-house. They are moving in this matter. Will the Bureau build a house for them when the land is paid for? Yours Truly

Yes doubtless if there is a Bureau and money in it.
