I having just arrived to Abington this P.M. and having a conversation
with Mr B Harris stating that you desire to see me in regards to school arrangement and I am very sorry indeed that I did not meet with the opportunity of see you

Dear Sir I will now state to you the condition of the school House is in and also myself.  We have not got any stove for the school room, though we have collected $5.00 of the money though the people is very hard now they cant get the other
thy or not able to give me my price for teaching for them. I eat for me hand to mouth. I may say they say if I will teach for them They will do all the can me like a door but if you will assist no one will have a comfortable School room & Mr Manly if you will allow me some for teaching I think I can teach here all the winter if we can possible get a stove for the room.

I have 20 Scholars
20 Scholars they give 50 cents.
