The following extract is from letter of M.E. Shearman expressive of the wish of the Com'tee on Instruction.

"They feel uneasy at the present uncertain tenure by which the Danville property is held i.e. only by right of possession.  They would like for thee to write to R.M. Manly when the lease held by the Bureau expired and if he advises doing so, that thou would release it for one year at $75 on the most favorable terms thou can secure.  R.M.
