Rev. R. M. Manly
Supt. of Ed. &c.

Dear Sir:
I have succeeded in securing a Teacher for Bonsack, and the Friends Association, will take the school under its charge - if the House can at once be put in order. Can I proceed with the work, and to what amount?

The pipe came a day or two since, for the two stoves previously sent, but none of it will fit the stoves, by at least an inch in circumference. One of the stoves I sent to the Brush Creek School House, but was obliged to purchase new pipe. Perhaps I can sell it, and will try, after I get the Bill. [[strikethrough]] for it. What encouragement in regard to a Teacher for New River -
