Sir, I write to inform you that there is no probability of the school continuing in session longer than the 31st inst. the largest number of pupil I have had at any time is 21. some of those expect to leave soon, the men are leaving for the south in large numbers, I am told, and there is no prospect of the number of scholars increasing. so far we have not paid experiences, Mr Jacksons work has failed, and he expects to leave as soon as he can do so, I have written to Mr Cheney, (also to Mr Lowell) and
