Mr. R. M. Manly
Dear Sir
It is with pleasure that I take my pen in hand to write you a few lines. I would have forwarded these reports to you before this. But the previous letter I sent to Mr. J.E.Yorler did not come to hand. So it delayed me very much indeed. The pupil of this neighborhood desired of me being their tutor. I told them that I would attend School if your Society will give me some assistance. The parents of the Children are willing to pay something. But they are not capable of paying much. are very poor and Ignorant. But they have a great desire of learning. And are advancing very much. I hope to give them [[strikethrough]] [[are]] [[/strikethrough]] a superior start in Education by the help of God. If you will allow me the School I will discharge my duty to the best of my ability. by the help of God. Please excuse bad writing. Let me hear from you soon. most Respectfully yours, Timothy Smith
