Dear Sir your communication of the 9th. inst. was received by me. in due Time, with mutch gratification, indeed. I have been here over scince the first of February. Teaching, and have laboured very hard to get a good school. and I, have been successfull, so far as to the getting of a good number of pupils, and there is quite a number of children that I, expect the 1st of April tomorrow morning. The [[strikethrough]] peopv [[/strikethrough]] people, are very poor but willing to do their best. to aide in educating their children and I, have not received but nine dollars. Scince or during the two months that I have been here so you may imagine the consolation it was to me, to hear from you, and to learn that your sempithies were with us. I shall endeavour to do my duty well trusting that if there is any mistake in the report that you will excuse them this time and let me know in your next letter for the month of February I did make out a report. because, the people say that they will in time do their part, and your letter only, speaks
