route was a perilous one for a young girl. I did not hear until yesterday (Thursday) when the endorsed letter was received. What shall be done? As the [[strikethrough]] / [[/strikethrough]] went under the auspices of the Bureau I doubt not you will take the matter in hand at once. I know she has no money at all. I lent her her ten dollars to make the journey and I know her mother is uterely drained in preparing her clothes. If she is not wanted there I hope you can find some other situation for and send her the means to reach it. Could you not telegraph so as to ease her mind? She must be in great trouble.

Please excuse extreme haste.
Yours respectfully
Anna Gardner
