R.M. Manly Esq.
Dear Sir
I received yours of the 5 inst. with a full explanation of the $10.00 per month from the P.F.R. Association. The reason I was mistaken about this. I saw Mr Varner of Pamplin's Depot last summer and he thought I could get the Bureau rent allowed me from you, and $10.00 from some Northern Association, but he did not give me the name of any particular association, then again making out three different reports vis: yours, Mr. Yoders and Mr Carson's I thought again that there were something wrong, not having anyone to explain the matter to me; hoping you will excuse my error, as Mr V. led me astray on the subject
I Remain
Respectfully Yours.
Thomas J. Lythgoe.
