Mangohick Va May 5th 1870.
Mr. Manly:-
Dear Sir.
It has now come to a point, that if I cannot get books, I will lose nearly half of my scholars. They have been through their Primer three times, and are now much in need of another book. Would you be so kind as to send to Hanover C.H. 2 day of the Webster First Reader?
I would come down for them, but have some inconvenience in getting to the Depot. Please have them sent very soon, and much oblige.
Yours Most Truly,
Annie Alston.
