Dear Sir.
I wrote you yesterday in relation to the plans of Mrs St Johns or Johns, I made a blunder because I relied upon second hand information. I have now seen the lady myself and can speak with more definitiveness. Her name is St Johns tho it is often shortened by people to Johns simply 
The place which I named between 1st & M streets is the place they want to buy - not the place where the Hospital or "Home" now is. The "Home" is on which was called Union Hill now Strykers Hill and is reached through 17th St.

Mrs St Johns says that a Miss Hodges has been or is teaching there. and that Mrs. Mary Ward (both colored) may be regarded as at the lead of the establishment while Mrs.
