Whitlock V. May 25th 1870.
Mr. R. M. Manly Superintendent of Education Virginia,
Dear Sir: I received a letter from you very safely; dated May 20th containing five dollars. Dear sir I were very glad to receive the money from a friend as kind as you are. You asked me to return the vouchers immediately signed. Sir you did not send any in this letter: if you had I would readily sign them and return the [[?]]. You can send the money mentioned in your last favor immediately if you like; and send four vouchers, and I will immediately sign and return them all. Awaiting your favors I remain yours
Respectfully, Benj. J. Medley.
