Dear Sir I received your [[strikeout]] you [[/strikeout]] note of the first. And sent in the report of my school according to your request. But I will close the first of July until the first of August. Mr Manly I certainly have labored hard to bring my race out of ignorance in the light of an education. But if it had not have been for the aid of F R Association and the [[strikeout]] Buer [[/&strikeout]] Bureau. The colored people labors hard in the county but the whites have resolved not to pay them any money but give them an order to the store. And that is why the colored people can't pay anything
