Rev. R. M. Manly:
I send my Report for June, which will be the last, as I have now closed my School. Your letter containing $2 was duly received. I very sincerely thank you for your kindness; and for the many favors you have been pleased to show and since I have been teaching, during to my health, which is not very good. I shall probably spend the summer here. [[strikethrough]] If [[/strikethrough]] on my return to Richmond, you would be so kind as to give me a situation as Assistant, in your school, in or near the city, I would be greatly obliged, as my health will not allow me to confine myself to sewing. A line from you, when convenient, will oblige me
Very respt.
R.D. Scott
