At Bonsacks, Botetourt Co., school matters were entirely satisfactory but find it necessary on account of so many schools being employed in the crop to have a recess for two months from 1st prox. The Cloverdale School closed last month, and the people are anxious for it to re-open in the fall. It is expected that they will be supplied with a teacher.
The Green Ridge school has not been in session for some time, but earnestly request a teacher to be sent to them in the fall.
The "friends" propose to continue the Big Lick School during the entire summer found it in a prosperous condition
Also the Salem School, which is steadily advancing they will have two weeks recess in August.
The only school besides these herein mentioned to be kept open by the Friends Assoc. of Phila, during the summer months is that at Charlotte C.H. taught by M. E. Miles.
