I have the honor to make the following report in regard to the establishment of a school for colored in this county at "Chickahominy Church." This locality has advantages over others in the county being more central and accommodating more pupils within a given radius. there is also a good brick church belonging to the Freedmen which can be used for school purposes which avoids the necessity of building a school house as would be necessary in other localities. The estimated number of pupils that can be accommodated by this school is about seventy five. The colored people in this vicinity are very anxious for a school
