I have made remarks to the majority of the colored people in this county and Patrick on education, and have succeeded in establishing two or three schools, but hope to have one in every magisterial District before the end of the year, their anxiety to learn is only excelled by their ability to do so.
This section of Virginia is so remote from the Railroad that it has not felt the influences of Northern instruction and association near as much as other portions of the state and if the Bureau could only send one teacher even it would do incalculable good.
