Reply to Ques. No I Concerning probable no. of Pupils &c
From the last information I can get I am of the opinion that there are in this Co. about Nine Hundred Pupils, or that number who would attend school if they had the opportunity.

Reply to Ques No II, Concerning Buildings Rooms &c for School purposes.
There are no buildings in this County, which are adapted to the purpose excepting a few log school houses. These cannot be had as they will be used for the schools of the white people.

Reply to Ques No III Concerning Rent &c of Buildings.
There being no buildings in this Co. adapted to the purpose — it would be necessary to erect at least one building in each Magistrates District  That is four school houses in the county.

I think this number would accommodate all who would attend

Reply to Ques. No IV Concerning Repairs, Estimated cost &c.
A Building capable of accommodating from Two to Two Hundred & fifty scholars would cost in this County not less than $1800. completed and ready for occupancy. Coal can be obtained at 25 cts per Bushel & Wood at from $4. to $5 per cord.
