can be erected, suitable for a schoolhouse for 
about $400-

6. The white people in this place would much 
prefer a teacher from their own locality, and think that one can be procured, but they will need some assistance from abroad to pay the salary, but if a teacher is to be procured from abroad, they would prefer an Episcopalian, and one could be boarded 
near by the Schoolhouse, at a cost of about $4 or $5 
a mth, fuel and lights extra -

7. The local friends think they can raise from $150 to $200 a year towards defraying the expenses of books, renting or building a schoolhouse, and provide the Seats, Desks, &c, and will furnish the fuel and lights for day and evening school, and take care of school room &c -

8. There are no Govt. buildings, Lands or at this place

interested in the Freedmens Schools - 
Capt. William Nelson, Rev. M. Jones, and 
James Clarke, of the Whites, and 
Robert Cross, Thomas Brown, 
Charles Hubbard, & Henry Strauss, Freedmen
