5' The freedmen at this place have purchased a site and frame for a church, which they propose to use for a school room, and are now trying to raise money by subscription to finish it- They can finish it for about $400, and make a building about the size of 20 by 30 and be well adapted for both purposes-
6' A teacher will have to be procured from abroad and there by the time the house is ready, that there will not be much difficulty in getting a teacher boarded. Board will cost from $4 to $5 per mth, fuel and lights extra
7' The local friends think that without doubt they can furnish $100 and perhaps more towards maintaining a school per annum, and after it is once started can keep up the necessary repairs, and will furnish their own books, lights and fuel for day and evening schol, and take care of the school room-
8' There are no Govt buildings or other property at this place-
