6  Teachers from abroad will be required They must keep house house as board cannot be had

10  Public sentiment as a general thing is not favorable to the Schools though improving
11  A building can be put up for $800 which will serve as a school and as a place of worship. The colored people in this place are more intelligent than in other portions of the Dist and are trying to get ahead Their efforts should be supported Thy need nothing but a Church School at present, The School in this place is supported and carried on by the New Baptist Home Mission and has proved of great value The teachers have been obliged to board themselves spending their Sabbaths in Harpers Ferry which is 8 miles from here.
