Mr F. R Smith Agt in charge is endeavoring to establish a school at the Court House by aiding with erection of a church in which shall be allowed for school uses.

The needs of Warwick Co are set forth in the report of the agent in charge; his suggestions are approved; failure to secure the guarantee of a teacher dampens effort in erecting buildings.

Your attention is invited to the report of Lieut. Chandler ASAC. in charge James City county; it appears that the liability of the people to pay tuition caused the school once started and much needed at [[?]] Church to be suspended.

There are no schools either in James City or Charles City counties; the
