be established on a farm known as the "Folly Farm" on Mulberry Island, on this farm and in its immediate vicinity, there are about seventy-five (75) freedchildren, who would be able to attend a school at this point.

The farm has been purchased by a number of freedmen who will give a sufficient quantity of land for school purposes, but are too poor to build a School House.

The erection of a building of sufficient capacity, to accommodate all who might be gathered in, would cost about four hundred and seventy dollars ($470.00)

If white teachers are to be employed it will be necessary to erect quarters for their use which would make an additional expense of one hundred dollars ($100.00)
