The school at New Boston is taught by James Martin who first started it; is in a very fair condition but I think will be inproved when they gt a new building which the Colord people are trying to build and I think will succeed with a better assistance from the Bureau, this school has fifty three pupils enroled this month with an average attendance of twenty five. Mr Martin the teacher is doing all in his power to teach his pupils. This school is suported by the Colord people wholey excepting five dollars which is paid by the Bureau for rent of school house, the pupils in this school are greatly in need of books which they are not supplied with as the parents of the children are unable to pay the teacher and buy all the books that are needed.
