The School at River Side kept by the Rev. A. Y. Clark, what shall I say, what can I say for it?
I visited the school a very fine day, and the attendance was fifteen altho the Roll contained eighty six names. As for dicipline there was none, and the children were not so far advanced as at the other schools. it seemed more to me like children playing school, than a grave old minister teaching, altho they could say the catechism very well.
There are a few who are taking private lessons which I am in hopes to give a full report of next month.
All of which is respectfully submitted.

Your Obedient Servant.
