on the 2d November You by Special Order No 82 restored to John Whetford the house and lot No 99 Broad W this City- the property was at that time in Military possession but the order of restoration was absolute. 
I endorsed in the the order that the property was under military control and in handing it to Mr Whitfords attorney informed him that he could get the building when turned over to us as no longer needed for military purposes.
Some two or three months ago the building with others was turned over to me by Command of Col Wheeler, under as he explained to me Gen Order 110 War Department, but with the understanding that they were still required and would continue to be for some time.
The house is still occupied by Dr Rush- It contains a ware room for hospital stores below and two other rooms occupied by the Doctor
