Respectfully returned. I know of only one (1) building erected by the Bureau in New Berne that is occupied as a Warehouse for clothing & Medical Stores,

Respectfully returned to Col E Whittlesey. Asst Commr to know wha orders if any have been issued from the Chief of the Bureau of RF & A L. in reference to restoring the property of pardoned Rebels  also whether the Statement of Dr Masters that there are several unoccupied houses built by the Bureau is correct.
