buildings be thoroughly repaired. I also recommend that a chimney be built in the partition between the two wards, with two fire places, one in each ward; also that a small building (about 16 feet by 20) be erected for quarters for the Hospital Steward and his family. 
I further recommend that about three hundred (300) feet of fence be built in order to isolate the Hospital from the Camp near at hand, and in that may prevent the Hospital furniture, bedding & from being stolen.
As we have all the bricks and a large portion of the lumber that will be required, on hand I sincerely trust that you will be instructed to purchase whatever else may be wanted, and to go on with these necessary improvements without delay

[[left margin]] respectfully recommend that they be stripped, and the floors made tight as proposed by the Surgeon-in-Chief. I would also recommend the construction of a chimney in the center of the large ward with two fire places. The finer is in my opinion, unnecessary. 
I would respectfully request that an order be made authorizing the necessary expenditures to make this repair
