KNOW ALL MEN, BY THESE PRESENTS, That we, Robert Moseley Colored Daniel Moseley, and Thomas Hall of the City of Newberne, are held and firmly bound unto [[strikethrough]] the State [[/strikethrough]] E. Whittlesey Colonel and Assistant Commissioner of B.R. F & Abandoned Lands of North Carolina, in the sum of two thousand dollars, current money, to be paid to the [[strikethrough]] State [[/strikethrough]] Commissioner aforesaid, to the which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this ninth day of April, A.D., 1866.

The condition of this obligation is such, that if the above bounden Robert Moseley Cold who is appointed, Administrator of all and singular goods and chattels, rights and credits of Jesse Moseley, Cold, deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory and account of sales; of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits of the deceased, which have, or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of him, the said Robert Moseley, or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons, for him, and the same, so made, do exhibit or cause to be exhibited, into the office of [[strikethrough]] the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions of the County aforesaid, [[/strikethrough]] the Bureau of Refugees Freedmen and Abandoned lands in the City of Newberne N.C. within ninety days after the date of these presents, and the same goods, chattels, and credits, and all other goods, chattels, and credits of the said deceased at the time of his death, or which at any time after shall come to the hands or possession of the said Robert Moseley, or into the hands of any other person or persons, for him, do well and truly administer according to law: and further, do make, or cause to be made, a true and just account of his said Administration, within two years after the date of these presents, and all the rest and residue of the said goods, chattels, and credits, which shall be found remaining upon the said Administrator's account, the same being first examined and allowed of by the [[strikethrough]] Court [[/strikethrough]] Bureau aforesaid, shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons, respectively, as the same shall be due unto, pursuant to the true intent and meaning of the Act in that case made and provided: and if it shall appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the deceased, and the Executor or Executors therein named do exhibit the same into [[strikethrough]] Court [[/strikethrough]] the Bureau making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly: If the said Robert Moseley above bounden, being thereunto required, do render and deliver the said letters of Administration, (probate of such testament being first had and made in the said [[strikethrough]] Court, [[/strikethrough]] Bureau then this obligation to be void and of no effect; or else to remain in full force and virtue.
