Federal Works Agency Public Buildings Administration Washington June 5, 1941 Office of the Commissioner In replying, quote about subject, and these letters FA To whom it may concern: As chief of the Section of Fine Arts of the Public Buildings Administration, Federal Works Agency, I am glad to say that the name of Yasuo Kuniyoshi stands for high distinction in contemporary art. Every painter in America knows the name and hundreds of them not only admire Mr. Kuniyoshi as a painter but admire him as a man. Anything done to enable him to carry out his summer painting plan will be a serious help to contemporary American art. [[signature]] Edward Bruce [[/signature]] Chief of the Section of Fine Arts
