This will identify the bearer as Yasuo Kuniyoshi, well-known American artist and President of the artists' society, An American Group.
Although Mr. Kuniyoshi was born in Japan, he has lived in this country for over thirty years.  During that time he has become an integral part of the cultural life of this country.  His work has won many prizes, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, and may be found in the collections of museums in many parts of the United States, such as the Metropolitan Museum, The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Art Institute of Chicago, Phillips Memorial Gallery, Washington, D.C., Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, etc.
