ADDRESS REPLY TO
CHIEF OF ENGINEERS, U. S. ARMY
WASHINGTON, D. C.

WAR DEPARTMENT
OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF ENGINEERS
WASHINGTON

REFER TO FILE NO. CD 324.3(Camouflage)-TO
February 4, 1942

Mr. Yasuo Kuniyoshi,
30 East 14th Street,
New York City.

Dear Kuniyoshi:

On my return to my desk from my trip abroad, I found your letter to me of December 14th, inclosing your letter to Bruce of December 14th. I also found my letter to you of August 28th, which had been returned from the dead letter office to Pittsburgh and which was forwarded from Pittsburgh to me here in Washington.

Just to show my good will, I am inclosing my letter to you of August 28th. Yesterday your letter of January 30th, 1941 came in the mail, inclosing your letter of January 30th to Bruce.

I am so glad that you found some way of lending a hand in all this grievous mixup. My only regret is that I was not fortunate enough to be of personal help to you. If there is anything I can do in the future, be sure to let me know.

Cordially yours,
