Dear Mister Kuniyoshi,
We received your letter and were surprised to hear that you could not become an American Citizen, and was also surprised to hear that you knew more about democracy than some of us in the U.S. who have lived here so long.
We were astonished at your lovely handwriting in your letter.
We would all like to thank you for your magnificent picture, and we would like to know the cost of it so we can pay for it.
Your friend,
Josephine [?]
P.S. We would like it very much if it were possible for you to come and visit our school.
Best Wishes
