5 December 1951 Mr. Yasuo Kuniyoshi 30 East 14th Street New York 3, N.Y. Dear Mr. Kuniyoshi: During the military occupation of Japan, the New York Field Office of the Reorientation Division of the Department of the Army has been responsible for the furnishing of music, art, radio and theatre materials to the Civil Information and Education Section in Japan which is under the General Headquarters of the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers. On 31 December 1951, the functions of this office will cease. Arrangements have been made with the appropriate divisions of the Department of State to assist the Reorientation Division, Department of the Army to continue services formerly provided by this office. All information desired on the Program after 31 December 1951 may be obtained from the Department of State.
