Office of Civilian Defense Washington D.C. December 17, 1941 Mr. Yasuo Kuniyoshi 30 East 14th Street New York, New York Dear Kuniyoshi: Your letter of December 14 to Mr. Bruce has been referred to me. We have discussed your case down here and both Holger Cahill and Forbes Watson are trying to do something about it. I feel deeply for the situation in which you find yourself. I trust it will solve itself in a short time. You have probably already received O. E. M. Art Bulletin No. 1. I am enclosing a copy in case you have not. This is one way in which you can help now if you care to enter such a competition. I would also suggest that you go to your local Defense Council. At the present time that is the place where voluntary help should be directed. I hope that if there is any way in which this office can help you, you will let me know. Faithfully yours, Olin Dows Olin Dows Consultant Office of Civilian Defense
