of picture but actually I am not aware of such things are critics talk about. Perhaps back in my mind somewhere I might have some sentimental connection with ^[the]/color or ^[with the]/shape but I never force it conseciously toward that end.    Still life is a difficult matter to paint. I think it is more difficult to start with than figure or landscape. You have to deal with still things and lifeless things. To make them alive is harder and not so interesting as painting figures or other object which has life in itself. 
 
   But I've learned a great deal things from painting still life because you can work as hard as you want to and as long as you want to and still keep same position.
 
   Sometimes, I remember, when I panted watermelon, it melted away in time and even skin started rotting. And there were lots of bugs on it but it is funny even after month had gone by, and my painting was still not finished, but I kept everything the way it was set up at beginning and I
