saturday august 26 woodstock (17A) Ever since I have had a trip to Southwest in 1935 and 1941 to New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, that something vastness and primitiveness which is different from Maine ruggedness, I thought it is more of a beginning of creation of earth like formation of mountain are very [[strikethrough]] volcanic. Yet each state represent different type of scenes and mountains and treees and houses and trees. I like those ghost towns, deserted places. Buildings still standing of [[strikethrough]] 1970 [[/strikethrough]] 1870s. Their bigness of sky and earth react so much different than Eastern states. Sunrise and sunset is beyond human imagination. I love to paint those mountains. I've done few paintings and quantity of drawings on last trip. Nothing really came out way I looked [[strikethrough]] forward doin [[/strikethrough]] forward to doing in expressing that scenery.
