told me to do so and helped me to understand what I should do. Apparently manger felt sorry for young boy and gave me easiest job. First I passed bucket of water around to workmen who were laying ties for the rails or were cleaning inside of engines. But I thought that was hard too, walking long distances carrying bucketful of water so next day they gave me another job sweepign great big yard.

   I never had broom in my life. It was so strenuous but I stuck it out that day but next day I gave up and I scuttled back to Seattle.
