The first meeting of a very representative committee to combat this type of attempted censorship met in New York yesterday, and represented were the art critics on the daily press, the editors of art publications, the Metropolitan, Modern Museum, and Whitney Museum of Art, and others interested in combatting censorship. Those present felt that these attacks are aimed at freedom of expression in America, and they will fight every implication of censorship.

Along with our regional director, Mr. Zerbe, you have done an outstanding job in promoting Artists Equity in Massachusetts, and we are most hopeful that in the light of this further information you will reconsider your decision.
